Hi All,
Just a quick comment to say that the reason why the debugging seemed to be so slow is because I forgot to add the 'noprint' declaration to the gdbinit file. What was happening was that all of the signals were being recorded and when a breakpoint was hit, every signal generated a print message, which Eclipse was ignoring but they were still taking time to produce. I will ask Richard to update the documentation page but for the mean time the details are in the updated Readme.txt in the zip file. Below are the two lines that I suggest for the .gdbinit file:
handle SIGUSR1 nostop noignore noprint
handle SIG34 nostop noignore noprint
I have also refactored some of the Asynchronous IO code to make it a more generic mechanism. Thanks to Martin for prompting me to do this and testing the code for the Serial device.

To make the Valgrind happier I would change the lAsyncIORegisterCallback to:

The simulator also works with 7.4.0. It is a great tool, I am able to check the code targeted on LPC1788 with tools, like valgrind, gprof etc.
